Before sounds of instruments and lyrics can blend, the heart of man must respond to the greatness of the Creator, committing one’s self, and one’s ability to the use of the King. Therefore emerges out of the Coachella Valley, four piece Independent group, More Than This. Compelled to be real before an and audience of One and an audience of many, More Than This exists to merge the hearts of believers and non-believers through the gift and beauty of song. With a blend of acoustic-rock construction, melodic melodies and an honest message, More Than This is taking their sound wherever God may please. More Than This has been covering the Coachella Valley’s worship and music scene for the past 7 years and then some. The Band being originally comprised of Brandon Sampson (Lead Vocals, Guitar) Jonathan Shisler (Lead Guitar) and Joshua Pratt (Drums) have taken their joy of music and worship together as a band and friends all the way to Australia, South Africa and back. Partnering with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) the trio traveled the country of Australia and through the continent of Africa sharing their sound and hearts with those willing to listen. Traveling back to the states at different times, the band pieced back together with the addition of a new face. Nathan Somers (Bass guitar) brought the band to a full, four piece the winter of 2006. Currently leading worship with; Calvary Chapel the Bridge, Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs, The Siren Project of Southwest Community Church, and Remnant of Emmanuel Faith Church in Escondido Ca, Faith builders community church, Faith community church, Corner stone covanant church, Palm desert community presby,Thousand palms community church, The Cross Generation, the guys take joy in partaking in the ministry of Jesus through worship and song, using their abilities to allow the Spirit of God to be alive and active in their lives as a ministry, individuals, and a Band.
