In 1984, while traveling to New York to meet with friends, Italian songwriter and record producer Leonardo Di Michele was exposed to freestyle rap for the first time. Upon his return to his studio in Milan, Di Michele found himself rapping over the electronic and synthesizer driven music he was known for producing. Though most of these musings were discarded by a self-conscious Di Michele, one track survived thanks to enthusiastic support from friends who happened to hear it. That song was Synchronyze - now a rare gem for record collectors, prized for it's eclectic mix of rap, synth-pop and boogie influences. Di Michele produced and released the track himself under the name YUNIX, and now Halcyon Tone is making the track available to the public for the first time. This is the second installment in Halcyon Tone's Summer 2013 release series.
