简介
Vickisue and the Dissonance has grown into a powerhouse of experimental ambient noises, thunderous drums, eerie lead cello, rhythmic bass, and simple yet heavy electric guitar, accompanied by one of the most beautifullly haunting voices to ever grace your ears. Taking the Tennessee indie-rock scene by storm, Vickisue and the Dissonance has made a name for themselves as an original onslaught of beauty and horror. But once upon a time, before Vickisue and the Dissonance had grown into the venus fly trap of a band that they are, they were once nothing but a seed waiting to sprout from the ground. Vickisue Gunderson had been a lonely girl with a guitar and a serious lack of dischord in her life. That is, until she met drummer/producer, Jeremy Graham. Together the two of them worked on some of Vickisue's older songs and began writing some new ones. But still, something was missing. Vickisue and Jeremy requested the help of cellist, Shane Minter, who later became an official member of the band. Together the three of them recorded the debut album, "Everyone is Welcome." A rough but honest album, "Everyone is Welcome" captures a moment in the life of a band trying to find themselves, while venting their frustrations with things such as working a dead-end job for less-than-adequate wages and the struggle to remain happy while immersed in such unhappy surroundings. Lasting more than 40 minutes, "Everyone is Welcome" is an open door into a world we are all familiar with, but through eyes we rarely see with.
