Skyroom is the guise of the exceptional talented producer 'Rachel James'. Rachel has been an active figure on the dance circuit for many years recording and remixing tracks for several big name artists and labels as well as her own Axis Trax imprint under her Avro, Citi Link, Rachel Ellektra and State of Affection guises amongst several others. Her Skyroom sound is a quality house influenced project that incorporates elements of electro, progressive, deep and jackin' with an old skool twist. "Live Your Life" is a great example of this as it uniquely strikes chord with 80's / deep house, electro based rhythm and disco string chords. Add to this a spoken vocal that really adds to the atmosphere of the track and it takes the mix into the kind of surreal vibe that you would hear in a Danny Tenaglia-style set. Also included is a great euphoric progressive mix from Atlantic Drift who are best known for their work with Ispirato music and mixes from Convert's own Blue Amazon that crosses the borders between Tech House to harder Techno influences.
