Beauty, grace and ardor course through the performance of Moonlight Rendezvous, as Bill’s piano moonbeams light up a joyful encounter. A night of bliss leads to a Misty Morning, a delightfully mellow interpretation with a rich-toned melodic charm. Two fascinating treatments of classical favorites follow. Musetta is an engaging reworking of the attractive Musetta’s Waltz from Puccini’s ‘La Bohème,’ while Clair De Lune is a novel rendition of the Debussy classic. A lyrical Rachmaninoff selection entitled Our Theme, opens the second side, followed by a melodic paean for love, as a compelling piano pleads – Don’t Pass Me By. You Take My Breath Away envisions a love-at-first-sight spell that can’t be broken, and in Lazy Mississippi Moon, the moon glow continues in pitter-patter tempo as the tide of love ebbs and flows with the meandering piano keys. The title tune, Love’s In Season conveys a continually happy thought as Bill and the orchestra blossom out in a cheerful “all the world loves a lover” mood. Flirty, the jaunty closer casts some amorous glances via a lithe, dancing statement by piano and an ingratiating orchestral backdrop.
