Mike Hulme is one of the great sound architects of our time. His passion for modular synthesis is legendary (check out his Loopmaster Sample CD), and he lovingly creates every sound in his tracks from the ground up, patch cable by patch cable. Curiosity is a gem, a warm, fuzzy, kinetic analogue gem. As with all of Mike's tracks, the bedrock is techno, with flowing organic arrangements that draw the floor in. This is electronic music at it's powerful, intellectual best. The remix from label owner Simon Shackleton is a superlative take on the original - opting to strip the groove back to it's barest, rawest components, and then creating a pulsing beast of a track, wrapped around a compulsive, simple groove.
