简介
Formed 2007 in San Francisco as Goodbye Nautilus, American Studies came about as a natural progression in 2009 of five friends who were never content to settle. Live shows were highly charged and led to regular gigs around the West Coast and a wealth of self-released material. Elk is the first of two LP's recorded by American Studies. Here the band tried to capture the live energy and drive to be heard at their live shows with an album that represented who they really were: a loud band, never really content with settling down. This album contains a mix of early and later material written by the San Francisco band including epic songs like Life in a Bunker, Oakland, Pots & Pans and Lights, which were never previously released. credits released 08 August 2012 Written by Eric Shawn Composed and Performed by American Studies Recorded and Mixed at Tiny Telephone by Ian Pellicci Mastered by Ben Euphrat AMERICAN STUDIES is: Eric Shawn - Vocals, Guitar Jeremy Gekov - Lead Guitar, Backup Vocals Dayne Wood - Drums Nick Volkart - Bass Ben Euphrat - Keys and Backup Vocals
