Sarmiento is a reggae roots singer born in Barcelona but resident many years ago in the city of Girona. After many demos, featuring in compilations, one riddims and collaborations with different bands, Sarmiento introduces his first solo album called “El Caminante”.

Almost every production have the sign of the musician of Zaragoza JOHANN (JAHSTA), except a few songs produced by CHINO ARCADIO (LA PUTA OPP), GEE MUSIC, GREENPOINT REGGAE BAND, from Palma de Mallorca, KARL from Sweden, RAFO from Peru, WORM from Malaga and KASY ONE from Barcelona.

The album has many collaborations like: EL HERMANO ELE (LA PUTA OPP), CLAN URBANO from Peru, JOHANN (JAHSTA), RAFOMAGIA, RODRIGO (GANJAHMUN), APRE (GERONACIÓN), JOTA (AKEMARROPA) and GEE MUSIC.

The album has diverse topics, with songs like “Soy El Caminante”, which is about the love the singer feels about the music; “Recuerdos”, a joyful sight to the past talking about how we lose our innocence when we grow up; “Algo”, a call to solidarity; “Good Vibration”, a positive message to the rasta culture showing all his respect to it; “No Hay Escape”, with a powerful ska base and supported by EL HERMANO ELE, treats about the control we all have over us from the different institutions; “Conmigo No”, accompanied by the Peruvian rap band CLAN URBANO, treats about the disagreement toward the injustices plaguing us in these times; “On Son”, the first song in catalan as a proof that it can also defend lyrics in that language.
