简介
Christopher Marciano, born Christopher Marciano Gomes, is a Cape Verdean and Ivoirian songwriter. Based in Orlando, Marciano is known for his sexy and controversial song “Hush” that was written for Paul Adey and Dawn Richard (former member of American girl band Danity Kane). Marciano was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and has spent some time in Ivory Coast, Africa and New Bedford, Massachusetts. As a child, he struggled with communication due to his lack of the English language. Marciano turned to writing in order to explain what he was feeling to his friends and teachers. He wrote in his African language and then translated each word. At first, they were just simple thoughts and then it became poetry. Soon, he was writing powerful and infectious lyrics while pairing them to riveting instrumentals. He was discovered on YouTube by Sony P (A&R) and was placed into a writing team for the Dutch singer and songwriter Madiha (currently Romysa). Madiha is known for her feature on the MSN Video reality show “The Biz” and her opening performance for Grammy Award winning artist Ne-Yo at the Heineken Music Hall. Marciano travelled with Madiha to complete her special project, “The Invitation” (released July 14, 2011). During this journey, he had the opportunity to work with international production cast, Redd Lights (Iceland based production duo), New Zealand’s Ben Walker, ATL native Caddalak Beatz (Nipsey Hussle, Travis Porter) and Canada’s Beatz Cartel. Marciano wrote 5 songs on the project including the daring track, “Breathe” which was featured on the Dutch radio station Hot O-Twenty (Sunday Soul Sistas’ Show). He also worked with other featured artists such as, Izza Kizza (Decon Records), and C-Ride (Epidemic/Cash Money Records). Executive producer Young Trey assisted with the production of “The Invitation” which was also hosted by Hoodrich Entertainment’s own DJ Furious Styles. Through this experience, Marciano was introduced to songwriter Kandi Robinson (better known as Inky or InkSturz) who has written for LeAnn Rimes and has held placements with Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Las Vegas, Disney, Nickelodeon and more. Inky served as a mentor and taught Marciano the business side of songwriting from contracts to deal placements. In 2013, Marciano began working with MTV artist Paul Adey on his debut EP, “ABBRV” (released 2014). This collaboration led to the award winning song, “SIQ” (Sinking in Quicksand), where Marciano and Paul Adey write about a beautiful love tragedy and “SOS” (Shout out Superman), a song about self-worth and finding your identity (written and arranged by Marciano). The EP was recognized by fans around the world from France to China. Currently, Marciano is working with several artists and producers on their projects to be released in the new year. His drive and love for music keeps him going in this competitive field. “I fell in love with music and it has never let me down. Our relationship has been going strong and I want the world to experience that love.”
