Bill or B.V.R.as his friends call him, has been writing songs and poems since a kid in the 70's.Once upon a time his music would have been called country rock or folk rock, but now it's call alternative country, americana or (his favorite) grange rock. Growing up in the mountains of the California Sierras, where the hippies fled, left a deep impression on him.He don't do disco! He remebers learning the words to Sunshine Superman by Donovan from his older sister when he was about five years old and has been hooked on lyrics ever since. His musical influences include every one from Lynard Skynard and Marshal Tucker to Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin. His inspiration comes from adventures, memories and events from his own life but he sometimes writes from the point of view of a character.B.V.R. plays guitar but prefers playing harmonica and encouraging the creative expression of other musicians. His singing is sometimes compared to Bob Dylan. Song writing is his passion and hopes to hear other artist interpet and cover his songs. B.V.R. currently hides out on the Lost Coast of California in Humboldt County. His latest release Easy Being Me along with his first release Pheral Tulong are availabe at WWW.CDBABY.COM and many digital internet ditributors.
