The song’s main melody is represented by a warbling tonal sequence that grows in intensity until it almost mirrors the potential danger referred to within the song’s title. A professor’s voice of concern for the world’s bodies of water is ultimately rinsed out and swallowed whole by a rising tide of wobbly bass. Stretched over a period of nine minutes, the melody disappears and reappears as an eight-bit rendering of itself extracted from an arcade game of yesteryear. Pressure continues to be applied to the warbling frequency until it becomes too big to possibly ignore, then implodes as the beat goes on, the scientist’s findings existing only as echoes to be deciphered as the song moves toward fade out.
