简介
Engineered and Produced by Paul Mills of The Millstream in Toronto, this album is a poetic study of life in South Central Ontario, Canada. The songs are a deeply spiritual response to nature; in typical Canadian fashion, the weather is a key player. The title track documents one person's daily struggle to live in the spirit of gratitude when those around her just want to bring her down... Dancing Day is a native Virginian's response to the fleeting Canadian summer, and onset of another long winter. The songs wrestle with issues such as newspaper debates on religion (Do we have to agree?) environmental issues (One grape at a time), pilgrimage (Camino), all from a deeply spiritual perspective. Joined by guitarist Curly Boy Stubbs, the music is joyful and uplifting, haunting and soulful. Susan and Wanda play seven instruments between them, and their vocal harmonies have been called angelic, haunting, soaring... (OK you get the idea).
