Come True is a love-filled album with songs that weave between soulful melodies, hip hop and harmonies with powerful rhythms on cajon and unique guitar stylings. We write music that inspires, challenges, and lifts us up, and we hope it will do the same to those who listen. We use our music to foster creativity, positive social change, and open dialogue around social justice issues. City Love has recently performed at the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Washington D.C., at the University of Pennsylvania Summit on Teaching Students About Race, opened up for Michelle Alexander at the Pendle Hill conference on Ending Mass Incarceration, and offered their Create the Change workshops for students in area schools.
