In the ninth chapter of 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul makes a reference to using various methods that will speak to cultures. In the same spirit of the Apostle Paul, many young radical men and women have stood up to speak to a culture that is thought to be lost and hopeless, Hip Hop. Among those people is a rapper by the name of Paul Santos, known as Explicit. Explicit is a multi-talented vessel. Not only is he a Christian emcee but he is also a photographer, sound engineer and graphic designer. Explicit has been blessed with great skill. But, the anointing that he possess surpasses his God-given talent. His love for ministry and relationship with Christ is apparent through every well crafted lyric and musical track. Explicit is not one to be limited. He is well versed in various types of music. With influences ranging from the hard-hitting beats of Lacrae to the mellow praise and worship of Kari Jobe. His eclectic ear gives him an undeniable edge. Though he was reared in the church since the young age of 7; Explicit received the revelation of Christ at the age of 18. After graduating from high school in May of 2002, he attended Texas Bible Institute. During his stay there the Lord began to prepare him for his ministry. Explicit began to seriously pursue his ministry endeavors in 2004. In 2005, he joined a group by the name of Minority Authority. Minority Authority consisted of Pedro "Unity" Baca, Andrew "Lil Blade" Baca, Moses Uvere and Explicit. Prophet Vibe Records was a label founded by Explicit, as well as fellow brother in Christ, Trust, in 2006 after the break up of Minority Authority. When asked what he would like to accomplish with his ministry, Explicit said, “I want to effectively teach the word of God to both believers and unbelievers in a way that is simple.” In this, he alludes to a teaching style similar to the parables of Christ. It is his goal to bring correction and edification to the body of Christ, much like his namesake Paul. He feels that this correction will bring the church in alignment with the will of God. With the church in its proper position, it can fulfill its true call, evangelism. Explicit currently attends Destiny Life Church, where he has been a faithful member since January of 2007. He is being mentored there by his pastor, Pastor Michael Moonoo.
