"All I Know" (2004) is the first self-produced, commercially released project by multi-instrumentalist and award-winning songwriter Kit Holmes (Austin, TX). Everything on this CD was written, performed, engineered and designed by Kit. Three of the tracks on this six song EP have already received recognition for songwriting excellence from the Austin Songwriter's Group. The title track "All I Know" received 3rd place in the Inspirational category in 2005. "Take Me Back" was a finalist in the Pop category in 2004 and "Swing Set" took finalist honors in the Instrumental Category in 2005. Kit Holmes is a Midwest native who began performing professionally at the age of 13. Her piano-driven music is a blend she calls “Funk/Pop/Folk/Jazz”. Think of Joni Mitchell teaming up with Cole Porter and Sting. Smart lyrics, memorable melodies and lots of “jazz chords”. In between working in many bands and doing session work as a keyboardist and vocalist Kit was a mastering engineer for a large CD manufacturer near Athens, Georgia, a mastering studio owner (The Music Kitchen in Watkinsville, GA from 1995 to 2001) and a live music event producer and sound engineer.
