Some nine short years after the first album by Tonky,this is the second album by called Gift Of The Gab.(the first was There Is No Group,by Tonky,who were then called Founded1980). Gift Of The Gab is a bit of a greatest hits/compilation album as it incorporates songs,written over a certain amount of time,this means only some of the best songs tonky have written in that time,are on this album.it is mainly a melodic rock album,with keyboards accompanying,many of the tracks.all tracks are original compositions. Tonky are-Walt Tomlinson on the drums,Calum Tomlinson on bass guitar and backing vocals,and Russell Tomlinson on guitars and main vocals,Russell also played keyboards on the album and some backing vocals. The people who helped produce this album recording are Ian Randall,Pete Maher,John Davis and Shola Aleje at Metropolis,Chris Sharpes,Steve Tanton,Andy Spence. All songs on this album are written by Russell Tomlinson. And the album was recorded between August 2013 and August 2015.
