Everyone has baggage. This is mine. Much of the ensuing clutter has been collecting dust for well over ten years. It’s now time for a spring clean. Unattended Baggage is a compilation of work recorded (mostly in bedrooms) roughly over the last decade or so (some written much earlier), and performed in various guises. As such, there is no attempt at thematic or stylistic continuity - there are, however, several feeble attempts at aping actual real artists of generally recognised merit. Among the hotchpotch, you’ll find unconvincing punk, tired political polemic, silly ditties, Gilbert-and-Sullivan-lite operettas and the occasional po-faced whinge (indeed, ever the trendsetters, Bonne Nuit were earnestly whining about first world problems long before it became fashionable). The productions values vary, but at the very least each track is a document of its time. Some tracks have previously enjoyed a limited physical release; others have never before seen the light of day. And all are being released digitally for the very first time. They say one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure. So, here you go - enjoy! (Or at least cringe your way through it.)
