简介

The project In 2010 four artists came together in a unique multimedia collaboration: composer/filmmaker Neal Fox, figurative painter Barry Gross, celebrity and fashion photographer Presscott McDonald, and “motion” photographer Adela Holmes. EXPOSED the Art Project brings attention to social issues in order to raise awareness. In keeping with that goal, a percent of the artists’ sales will go to Art Studio Miami, a charity that develops artistic skills in underprivileged children. The premier of EXPOSED the Art Project was June 4, 2011 at the Barry Gross Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, sponsored by VueOne Design. The themes chosen by the artists for this year are Social Commentary, Metamorphosis, Time and Chance, and Spirituality. The soundtrack A multiple award winner, Neal Fox’s contributions to EXPOSED the Art Project are his music videos and art prints. Titled simply, EXPOSED, this is the soundtrack from the four videos of the first show. The cover design is Neal’s digitally enhanced photograph “Life Sucks” from his video “Creation”. It won first prize for photography in through the “Eyes of Love,” an exhibit honoring World AIDS Day in 2010. 1) Spirituality: “Creation” Creation takes all forms from the start of the universe, to the birth of a child, and all of man’s artistic endeavors. This video includes footage of the EXPOSED artists and their works-in-progress. Shot at the photo shoots, the painter’s studio and at Neal’s recording studio, it gives a glimpse into the artists’ personal lives as well as their creative process. This beautiful orchestral piece stops people in mid sentence. A former composer of commercial music and news themes, Fox is skilled at writing music in a variety of moods and styles. 2) Metamorphosis: “Angel” A beautiful woman goes through her life cycle, untouched and unaffected by the world around her. Violent and disturbing images flash in the background while the ballad, “Angel,” describes the woman’s looks and apparent innocence. A powerful contrast. 3) Social Commentary: “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” With millions of kids on psychiatric drugs, and schools becoming more concerned about “self-esteem” than correct answers, our kids’ education is suffering. But it goes far beyond that... Tension builds in this haunting instrumental track as it moves through the section called “A Little History.” [Although Maya is fictional her character is based on real children who committed suicide after receiving a “cocktail” of psychiatric drugs.] This is not a pretty story, but the music tells it well. Pre-released on YouTube “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” has received over 115,000 views in just a few months. 4) Time and Chance: “Would You Take a Chance on Me” A playful God goes about his work, while a game of pool determines a man’s future. It all depends on how well he plays the game. The lighthearted 30s style song is playful and positive. About Neal Fox A veteran of the music business, Neal Fox’s songs and production skills earn high praise. Music Connection ranked him #4 in the Top 25 Music Critiques for his self-released CD, Now It’s Personal which aired on AAA radio. He co-scored two Killer Tomato movies, composed and produced music for hundreds of commercials and all the major networks, i.e., CBS Evening News with Dan Rather.
