Alex Antonio resurfaces to the indie music scene by providing a positive sound to the world of underground hip-hop and slam poetry. "Alighieri" was inspired by the works of Dan Brown in his modern day portrayal of Dante Alighieri's "Inferno." In Alex's portrayal of Dante, he hopes to bridge the connection between historical mythological concepts from the 14th century to current issues of today. "The point of this album is to remind everyone to never give up when life gets hard... we are all modern day versions of Dante Alighieri. We can relate to the Divine Comedy today like never before. There's so much going on in the world, and as an artist with a microphone it's my responsibility to ensure that certain topics are brought up."
