简介
The mind of Wyatt J. Hesemeyer, the singer and songwriter of Miss Lonely Hearts, is a strange and dark place. For 48 spellbinding minutes, 'Into the Wolves Den' lets you take a peek inside, while his sultry voice licks at your cerebrum like a cute little kitty on a catnip bender. The rhythm is driven by a homemade-sootcase drumset manned by Patrick O' Connor, a spectacular self-taught percussionist who got his start playing on the streets of New Orleans. Doug Keen, as well as being a near savant on the upright bass, is the brains behind the operation, taking Hesemeyer's stream of consciousness splatter and weaving it cohesively into songs that tickle the spines those who dare listen. Keith Cary, who has played on albums and performed live with Jolie Holland, Matt Bauer, and The Devil Makes Three, lays beautiful melodic lapsteel guitar and mandolin over the songs. Flashing from sweet to a shredding roar in a heartbeat, his unique playing style perfectly accents the full range of emotions and images portrayed throughout this album.
