简介
11 songs. Release date: May 24, 2010 A new solo album by Chris Charles featuring 11 new songs. “No More Guns.” In this song, Chris raises the constitutional question; Should we really all have a constitutional right to own a gun? Is this really the best way to go in the 21st century? What seemed like a good idea to the founders of the country in the 1700’s may need to be re-thought. But because of the NRA, that debate will probably never see the light of day. They will block any proposed legislation to change it, and shout down anyone who may suggest that there's a better way. The price of course, is that we will continue to have incidents such as what happened at Columbine and Virginia Tech. That will be the price we pay. Here's an idea that may help. Congress should enact a tax on guns and ammunition, with money raised being used to enhance mental health services. No 2nd Amendment problem with this, and the higher price may discourage some people from buying a gun. Update: Chris has written 2 more songs on this subject, which were released on the "Goin' Back To Jersey" album, titled: "The United States of the N.R.A." And "Redneck Republic."
