简介
Bryan David – Biography Cheating possible death on a cold basement floor was the last place singer/songwriter Bryan David ever expected to meet God, especially at the young age of 14. “Just the fact that I had God’s attention at the lowest point of my life awakened me to His love, to His Son. When I was the furthest from Him, He was the closest to me. If you know nothing of God or who He is, then that fact alone should tell you something.” This defining moment started Bryan on a path of rediscovering the God behind his upbringing – the same path that birthed the intuitive and unhesitating lyrics of his debut release No One Left To Blame. The album, fusing together both worlds of pop and rock-n-roll genres, reflects the uncompromising “back to the basics” God-journey of this 27- year old southern Florida artist. Beginning his musical life playing the piano and singing in the local church choir his father directed, this St. Louis native grew up immersed in the culture of church, music, and ministry life. But this heavy involvement was a distraction from his deficient relationship with the Lord. As adolescence hit, Bryan experienced the inevitable desire to test dangerous waters outside of his childhood roots. No One Left To Blame, released in November 2006, tells the story of that inner struggle and encountering the only hope that would lead him out. “I was lying there on that floor with a combination of drugs running through me. My heart was pounding so fast that I clutched my chest, hoping it wouldn’t stop beating. It was there I remember recognizing His voice for the first time.” This new direction provoked Bryan to realize the only purpose for his life. At age 16, he traveled as a vocalist with the Continental Brass and Singers, performing and ministering the Gospel in over 35 states and four different countries. He went on to pursue musical studies at Evangel University, where he traveled with esteemed ensemble Frontline. After completing his B.A. in Music, Bryan would spend the next four years as a music minister in Southern Florida. In February 2006, Bryan decided to take his message and music on the road. What came of this new direction was a collection of engaging songs quickly being embraced by fans as ground-breaking, from the rock-meets-pop edge of the title track “No One Left To Blame” to the blues-meets-ballad groove of “One More Time.” Influenced by eclectic mix from Phil Collins and Russ Taff to Mercy Me, this album is definitive by any measure. Today, Bryan and his wife of 2 ½ years, Lisa, reside in Boca Raton, Florida. He and his band travel and perform nationwide at conferences, churches, colleges, and other venues as well, proclaiming Christ. Additionally, Bryan travels with a missions organization called International Christian Institute, which is taking him throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean, ministering and leading worship.
