简介
"The Debris That Is Me" is a massive outpouring of 87 pieces of pop music by multi-instrumentalist Alec Boehm. Formerly with seminal Los Angeles art-pop band Stay Home, Boehm has packed his first solo LP with witty compositions that run the stylistic gamut from freewheeling pop to wistful love songs to faux World War II movie soundtracks. If you've ever longed to hear a jazz version of "The Funeral March" or heavy-metal renditions of "Take Five" or "Hava Nagila," this is the disc that will make your dreams come true. Firmly of the belief that pop songs should never overstay their welcome, Boehm keeps most of his to less than two minutes long. "The Debris That Is Me" is a two-record boxed set - one disk with instrumentals, the other with vocals. A third bonus disk, with older and quirkier material, is available for free on request - all you have to do is mail in a post card that comes with the two-record set. But here's the kicker: three discs, 87 pieces of music, 109 minutes of entertainment, for a mere $12. What have you got to lose?
