PA Line are an alternative indie folk band from Buffalo, New York. Their unusual name doesn’t come from the continental militia of the 1700s, a railway line or the New York Pennsylvania state border just down the road but from a simple catchline of the lead singer’s late father “Peace Always”, a mantra which they carry in their attitude towards the industry and their fans. At the heart of the band is their singer songwriter Trever Stribing who’s love for polyrhythms, alternate guitar tunings, and ear-worm melodies bursts through their sound. PA Line features borderline punk vocals and restless bass (Lucas Honig) and rhythm parts reminiscent of the Violent Femmes all underpinned by the layers of violin (Alyssa Wainwright), banjo and mandolin (Josh Ackerly, Pat Brown) and the resounding thud of Trever’s left foot hitting the kick drum that brings home a sound familiar to fans of Mumford and Sons. PA Line have a huge home town following which has supported them to become local battle of the bands winners and regulars on the bar and club circuit of Buffalo New York. In 2015 they played a sell-out show to thousands opening for Iron and Wine. In 2016 they are recording a new EP and getting on the road as far a field as the UK to find new audiences wherever they can...
