简介
This Seattle based band jumps on the scene with a blast from the past and a shot to the mouth. Showing influences from Southern Rock with a helping of John Butler Trio and a kid who listened to too much Red Hot Chili Peppers vibe, Chariot On Fire brings a sound to “In Between Suns” that reminds you what music is all about. The album begins with a gritty blues number “Castles,” showing that sometimes all it takes is a little slide guitar to get this party started. After a blazing guitar solo by lead guitarist Larson Haakenstad to finish up “City Life,” the music slows into a groovy acoustic number “The Way It Is,” but only for a short time before coming into form in the way of a head shaking, guitar ripping jive. Chariot On Fire touches on mostly life experiences and provides social commentary on the world as they have seen (as shown in “Change”, “Alien Eyesight”, and “If Life’s About Money”). After the acoustic instrumental “Trippin’” rings out, the album is closed with a softer, harmonized track “My New Friend” which helps bring closure to not just the album but the capstone to the nights transgressions.
