San Francisco’s latest warrior, THE ILLNESS, drives the progressive rock genre right out of its rut, over the curb and straight through the front door. After completing their debut self-titled EP in 2009, THE ILLNESS captivated audiences all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Performances are electric and fun, with a revolutionary communal vibe and a jaw-dropping display of dedicated musical precision. The band’s first full-length album, A Monument To Our Gilded Age, released in June 2012, is a masterpiece of labored composition and a courageous attempt to resuscitate the role of the concept album in the modern landscape of music media.
