简介
Through the years... At the age 9, Kindu Hughley found interest in music and began writing his own lyrics. As Kindu got older, his love of Hip-Hop grew and at age 15 joined a local underground rap group called the "Inner City Misfitz". The group achieved some local success by getting airplay on well known Cleveland radio stations such as 93.1 FM and 107.9 FM. As a result of their notoriety, the Inner City Misfitz was interviewed on the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame's Internet radio station. Their popularity grew and their album the "Life of A Misfitz" sold over 3000 copies in 1997. As a group, the Inner City Misfitz performed at well-known clubs in Cleveland, Ohio such as Vel's on the Circle, The Agora Theater, The Mirage on the Water, and The Millennium Entertainment Complex. They also opened for well known artist like Lil' Kim and Junior Mafia, at the Cotton Club, Rap-A-Lot Records recording artist Devin the Dude at the Top of the Flats, and II Tru of Mo Thugs Records at the Moet Bath. Unfortunately the Inner City Misfitz parted ways in 1999. After the group broke up, Kindu moved to Akron and enrolled as a student at The University Of Akron. His goal was to focus on classes that centered on Entrepreneurship and the Music Industry. In addition to his academic goals, Kindu continued to write lyrics. As a result, Wild Life Productions, an underground label, selected Kindu to be a guest artist on their compilation album in 2001. The project also featured Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs and Harmony.
