The Che Guevara Suite
简介
All of the compositions on this album are original works inspired by a variety of people, places or events in my life. Choosing a genre for the album was difficult, as my music does not fall under any one category due to its eclectic nature. If you’re a fan of Ennio Morricone, Eric Satie or even Arvo Part, scatter a sprinkling of Celtic/Latino Five-spice over them, and that should give you a rough idea of the soundscape of the album. If you’re wondering why there is no actual track entitled ‘Emily’s Children’ - that is because Emily is my guitar, christened by her maker Stephen Frith in Crawley in 1997. All of the compositions were initially written on Emily before being transcribed for piano, and then finally orchestrated. For the technical stuff – my guitar scores were written using Sibelius G7 software. These were transcribed for piano and ensemble using MuseScore 2.1 before being gently edited in Cool Edit Pro.
