I wrote this song after reading a blog about the troubled economy in America. It spoke of how many Americans were out of work, how many had filed for personal bankruptcy, how many had lost their homes, how many families were breaking up, how many people were living at the poverty level and how many were dependent on food stamps. It was a shameful commentary of life in America and it kinda hit home with me because, "I've had some bad times, Lived through some sad times" myself. That being said, the America that I love and I once knew was largely different from

America today. I begn to ask myself why, and the lyrics develoed from that point The music came later from Nashville.
