The band, originally conceived in 1999, has always been a vehicle of creative outlet/exploration. Chief songwriter and guitarist Pat Wieland's classic rock meets stoner rock aesthetics find a broadened palate in the hands and minds of the group. Spacey, often polyrhythmic guitar play rises through airy siren song and a patchwork of synthetic reaffirmations. A peculiar man with a beard and shaggy hair flails and kicks in time from behind a drum kit, his third eye fixed on the anchor that is the low thud of bass strings shaking the room...

That's just one way to describe LGs honed music and sound. The band puts on a tight, exciting live show. Their songs are tone-sensitive, the riffs interesting, the vocals and lyrics catchy and unique. Now more than ever Lazy Genius is an example of a band hitting it's stride.
