Time to get Up Close and Personal New Rap Artist on the rise! Coming out of Cincinnati, Ohio -- a new Rap sound is on the scene. Out of the Well Established Entertainment camp comes a hot new artist J-Bills. Born and raised in Cincinnati, J-Bills brings an old-style flavor to bear as he tells his story of life in the 'Natti. Growing up in Cincinnati, Jay (as he's called by his friends) was influenced by his older brother that was also in the rap business back in the early '90s. He had a strong involved with an up an coming local rap group back then. "I used to go to they studio and tell my brother to let me get on a track. He use to always say, 'hold up, I got you', but I never got on a track." It wouldn’t be long before Jay found his way to microphone of his own. By the time Jay was teenager, he had met several young rapper that like himself want to express themselves. "I got real hungry and start recording around the city with different rappers -- I really started networking and meeting new people." Although he was young at the time, Jay had some limited success. Not long after, Jay bumped into a childhood friend C-Weez. Both were into the rap thing pretty deep by then. After catching up on old times and finding that they both had gotten into the rap game, Jay and C-Weez exchanged some flows. Instantly they knew that they had something unique. They began to work at it on the regular. It wasn't long before they all decided that they should record some of the work that they had been practicing. And soon more of their friends in the rap business joined in. They decided to form a business that they all could be a part of -- the name Well Established Entertainment was decided upon. Jay was nominated to be the leader because had has shown the most initiative and was giving everyone direction on how they could make the business grow. Over the next 18 months or so, the Well Established Entertainment camp cranked out 4 volumes of their brand of rap. They decided to sell and promote each of them to gain some notoriety in the Mid-West region as a up and coming force in the world of wrap. Although they met with some success, the Well Established Entertainment camp wanted to do more. One of the camp members, Primo, had been telling Jay about his brother in Houston and how he had liked some of their work. Promo’s brother had connections in the music business and might be able to help them. Over the next few months, Well Established Entertainment and Legal Hustle Entertainment began to talk and build a relationship. It was decided that Legal Hustle Entertainment -- a distribution, marketing, media, and artist relations service -- would help J-Bills produce his first solo project. The project, entitled Up Close and Personal, began in January of 2006 and final work on the project end in early August 2006. The official album release is scheduled for October 10, 2006. The project features 16 tracks that takes you on a journey into the life of J-Bills. Jay calls it "an introspective of the life that I live.” “I write about what I know. I want people to understand where I’m coming from and where I am today.” With tracks like ‘Da Block, The Getaway and The Streets, that looks at how the “hood life” has affected the person Jay has become; to tracks like Seven, Food For Thought and Flower From Seed that shows J-Bills ability to take you on a journey with his lyrical abilities. Jay even shows that he can do the traditional Hip-Hop/R&B staple track with Free Your Mind.
