Liquid Monk's debut single MAN ON FIRE is a contemporary mix of funk, jazz, fusion and live electronica. It pays homage to 70's Jazz Fusion artists like Mahavishnu Orchestra while acknowledging a modern live band electronica sound like STS9, Papadosio or Lotus. The track's groove is pulsing and relentless with finely crafted instrumentation to draw the listener in but yet never feel too predictable. The swirling sounds of analog synths and vocoder are mixed with the classic organic sounds of electric guitar, Fender Rhodes, electric bass, congas and acoustic drums.
