"Lullaby" was originally written by Angelica Chitwood in 2011, with a completely different idea for the genre. After shelving the song almost two years, Angelica decided to redo the song in 2013 as a more laid back R&B/soul-pop tune, as opposed to the original dance/pop song she had originally written. She was thrilled with the outcome, claiming "You wouldn't believe what this song sounded like when I first wrote it... It's funny... But I really think I captured my style better in this version."
