Though born in the Parish of Hanover in the '70's, singer songwriter and entertainer Richie Melody has lived at some point in time in every parish of Jamaica and speaks through his Roots entrenched music of those experiences. As a mentor past and present to many youths he speaks to them in songs like 'Passport to Prison' and 'Golden Age' and his embrace of Rastafari shines through in 'Equal Rights and Justice' ,' Jah is My Light' and 'Burn them Down'.A whole new spin is put on the familiar refrains of 'Green Green Grass of Home' in paying respect to the importance of the great holy plant. Richie currently lives in Westmoreland and is back in the studio with new and exciting music to be released soon.
