Taken from the album "Freestanding" (independently released in 2015 by the band), "John Coltrane Twisting Blues" is an energetic digital single by alternative Italian band Pugaciov sulla Luna, formed in 2012 in Trento by Riccardo Pro (voice, bass and drums), Aldi Cekrezi (electric guitar) and Daniele Zanoni (electric and acoustic guitar, voice).

The track features guitar virtuoso (and jazz expert extraordinaire) Enrico Merlin who also appeared in another album track (the eponymous "Freestanding").
