Pianist. Singer. Songwriter. Wayne Gibson has worn many musical hats from an early age. He began with piano when his feet could barely touch the floor. During hours of practicing Mozart and Beethoven came his own melodies. Soon the words would follow, and while he retained his interest in classical music, his interest in other genres continued to expand. While there's no doubt listeners will hear a certain "Wayne Gibson style" in his playing and songwriting, he strives to experiment and try new musical ways of expressing himself. While his day job ranges from public relations to teaching other music students, Wayne carves out time here and there to foster his passion to record. His first CD, Testify, an independent home recording released in 2007 has done well without any major marketing campaign or radio play. In 2010, he is back in the studio with the hope of releasing several singles in pursuit of eventually producing another full-length album. Wayne believes music should not merely be background noise, but should engage the listener. He writes songs that inspire, ask questions, offer new perspective, and encourage the listener to indulge in life and all its varied emotions.
