The Shy and Wild are a group made up of people who grew up on rock and roll. Drawing from a diverse range of influences, including Jazz, Folk, and Gospel, they dispense raw feeling and heartfelt lyrics in the form of sweetly overdriven ballads and tunes. Using their own lives as a backdrop for musical narrative, The Shy and Wild spin yarns both melancholy and forceful, never to be overcome by emotion, but putting their hearts on a plate, plugged into a distortion pedal and a tube amp.
