My music is the meeting of contrasts, or what I used to call harmonized chaos! it reflects in a way my life! I am originally from Baghdad/Iraq but I have been living in different countries so far, Danmark, Spain,England & now I am more or less living between South Sweden & Istanbul! Art is my life style rather than a career, therefore I decided some years ago that I will live & settle down where my projects are....the reason why I consider myself as a vagabond but sophisticated! it is my ever deep desire to spread my music & tunes to every single corner of the globe!! we need art more than anything else! It is har to set words in ones own music & compositions, but my passion varies from folk to electronic to jazz or even funk! it is a mixture of cross over & does include between the lines the ever existential journey that we take due in the hope to find a space that replaces our forgotten homelands! I started writing music for my band, but then I found out that movements, light & images stimulates deeply my artistic vision, therefore I started writing music for dance & theatre companies, as well I did my own multi-media music-theatrical performance that was successfully shown in different venues around Europe & the Arab countries! Lately I had a wonderful collaboration with my friend the concept artist Larissa Sansour, where I wrote the music for her trilogy.... In short my music is a mix of yearning & longing for a better world!!
