简介
Quandary released its debut album \"The Riddle of Ancient\" in 2003. The album was a noisy electronic experiment with a new age feel and also had elements of ambient trance. The second album, \"Native Heart\", focused more on new age elements, while keeping an ambient and minimalistic feel to the overall album. Now Quandary releases its third album, \"Amen-Ra\". The song titles focus on elements surrounding the sun god and other famous ancient Egyptian mythologies. The album is not a concept album, but more of a theme album. The ambient minimalism that has been prevalent on the previous Quandary albums is still there, but the overall feel of the album is much more trance oriented then the previous efforts. Much of the album was composed using a Korg Karma workstation, while the other tracks were composed using Propellerhead Reason Virtual Synths on an Apple MacBook Pro. It has been interesting working with the two different mediums to come up with a complete work. Quandary composer, Todd J. Bush, has also done work with post-rock project All Gods\' Die and the ambient space project Astral Destiny.
