King B.A.V. was on the first round ballot for the 2003 Grammy nominations for the song Arnold Vs. Arnold. King B.A.V. and the "Rhyme Bomb!" CD were also on the first round ballot for the 2002 Grammy nominations, in four categories. Best Rap Album, Album of The Year, and Best New Artist. Also, the producer of "Rhyme Bomb!" is nominated for producer of the Year. On his current release "Behind The Wall" King B.A.V. provides an autobiographical account of the highs and lows of his life, prior to, during, and since the success of his two previous CDs. King B.A.V.'s hard-hitting rhymes and beats let you know that he hasn't mellowed. From the Intro to the last bonus track you are taken on a high-speed adventure with the King of Rap. King B.A.V. has received a special award by ASCAP five years in a row. King B.A.V. was born in Chicago, Illinois. He now makes his home in San Diego, California. He began writing songs at the age of 12. King B.A.V. was the founding member, songwriter, and lead rapper for the group "Positive Touch". In 1997, King B.A.V. left "Positive Touch" to focus on his solo career.
