With just himself, a guitar, and a loop station, singer/songwriter Zakir is taking the music scene by storm. After hearing John Mayer's 'Neon,' and gaining inspiration from artists such as: Ed Sheeran, Gavin James, and Jason Mraz, he picked up a guitar and has never looked back since. A "one-man band", Zakir integrates a loop station for his live performances, allowing him to build and create instrumentation on the spot. In 2015, he went on to release his debut album titled "Road To Somewhere", produced by 6-time Emmy award-winning producer BZ Lewis. A year later, Zakir released singles "Rain in July" and "Veranda" from his highly anticipated second album, which is set for release in late 2017. From his resonant vocals to his skillful guitar playing and empathetic lyrics, such artistry complements his soulful approach to the pop genre.
