An album of soprano arias from Opera, Operetta and Art Songs originally arranged by Carla Maffioletti and Annemie Hermans for the Mandoline Ensemble The Strings, featuring the virtuous Brazilian singer Carla Maffioletti, famous by her performances with André Rieu. Special participations of Manoe Konings (Clarinet), Eric Hermans (Guitar), Mireille Brepols (Percussion), a beautiful string quartet arrangement of Giuglio Caccini's Ave Maria with Kremi Mineva and Alina-Lin Jong-Merx (Violin), Linda Custers Slakhorst (Viola) and Tajna Derwahl (Violoncello), who also played the cello at the celebrated Bachianas Brasileiras from the brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.

This CD also includes two tracks portraying Carla Maffioletti as a solo guitarist at the beautiful Cavatina from the movie The Deer Hunter and Blue Bird , in portuguese, Azulão, the song which carries the Album Title, featuring Leoniek Hermans on the solo Mandolin.

Original arrangements by Carla Maffioletti on tracks 1,2,4,5,8,9,12,13 and 14. Arrangements by Annemie Hermans on tracks 3,6,10 and 11. The track 7 is arranged by John Williams.
