Jon and Kirk have known each other since 1980, when Kirk moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, as a young man looking for adventure. They immediately became fast friends and musical collaborators. John grew up in nearby Los Alamos and has been an extremely vital member of our musical community from the time he was a teenager. This is the debut album for this trio, and, as such, is long overdue. Both Jon and Kirk, who are the composers of this music, have been deeply inspired by the artistic vision of Manfred Eicher and the artists on his German ECM label. We strive always to be artists of depth, substance, and heart, and we hope you will enjoy the fruits of our labors as much as we have enjoyed creating them for you!
