Jammi J. was introduced to an eclectic genre of music by her father when she was just a toddler. Her desire to sing was discovered when she was in 3rd grade. Jammi cried throughout an entire Children's Choir Musical because she desired to be in the choir stand singing, rather than sitting in the audience next to her mother. Her love for music prompted her to become actively involved in both the children and youth choirs in her church, as well as district choirs throughout the city of San Diego. During her adolescence, while enduring unbelievable circumstances, she found great comfort in gospel music. During these trying times, her passion to serve God (via song) began to blossom. Around the age of 13, she began teaching music, orchestrating small gospel groups, and directing choirs. Over the past 20 years, the Lord has afforded Jammi many local and national singing opportunities from the east coast to the west coast. She has sung background for Cheryl Dearing and Blessed (San Diego), Friends & Family (Los Angeles), James Fortune, Regina Belle, Kim Burrell, and John P. Kee. Because of her unique vocal ability, she has recorded for Kim Burrell, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Fred Hammond, the O'Jay's, and John P. Kee, just to name a few. Her background vocals can be heard on the following albums: Dorinda Clark-Cole's Take It Back, Fred Hammond's Love Unstoppable, VIP Mass Choir Featuring John P. Kee LIVE in Miami (Yes We Can), and The New Life Community Choir Featuring John P. Kee Nothing But Worship, where she is also featured on the album cover. Jammi J. recently released her debut EP entitled The Introduction of Jammi J., which is receiving significant local radio rotation. Currently, she is working on her full album release, Victim to Victorious, scheduled to be released in the Summer of 2011. Jammi J. is using the gift God has given her as a catalyst for her ministry, and she willingly accepts the exciting and challenging path in which God is leading her.
