简介

Biography of a True Musician Jeff Keith/Dred Flintstone/King Keith The making of the man, born Jeffrey Keith, the dreaded man of locks nearly two feet long, born and raised in Flint, had acquired the name that fit him to a tee, Dred Flintstone. He was called, King Keith because he ruled the mic with his powerful rap, not just rap, a voice to be heard, for a cause, and for a positive effect. At the age of four his mother found him the closet with a guitar, singing Chains of Fools, by Aretha Franklin. Of course his father was elated because he too was a lover of music, with a multitude collection, especially Jazz. This music was embedded in the soul of Jeff's, and he loved it. He was a noisy youngster, but his family did not mind, because it was the music they all enjoyed. By the sixth grade he had already been through four sets of drums, eight guitars, and a trombone, rehearsing his talent to the well-known Parliament Funkadelic's. In the eighth grade, he got his first drum machine, then rehearsing to Prince, and The Time, and Roger. During that year he began DJ'ing at the school's skating parties, using two tape decks, soon after with two turn tables. Inspired by what he heard of tapes made at home (Demo's) of the Disco Three, a group later known as the Fat Boy's, and Count Cool Out. Enlivened even more by CD3, (Get Tough), and hearing Melle Mel is what got him started writing his own music, rap, and developing a certain perfected style. He also was known as Flint's first rapper. He free-styled for years, claiming first prize at many talent shows and rap battles. Later he began making music for himself as well as producing for others. An eighteen track Rap CD was about to be released, but was put on the back burner only for a while, because he all of a sudden was possesed to create and compose a complete instrumental, fifteen track Jazz CD. 75 South was the first jazzy tune he created which was inspired by his fiance, a jazz lover, who lived in Detroit, one hour south of Flint. Since the release of the CD titled, 75 South, he has been asked to create music for, video games, and is currently working on video's for 75 South, and his new rap CD. A Detroit based talk show has asked to use one of the attractive tracks from the Jazz CD as their theme music. Now the Jazz baby is out he is back on the grind, spitting from the mitten. The new CD, Rap CD, titled, Gun Smoke and Chicken Wangs, will be out soon, and will be true satisfaction guaranteed!
