Eddie Bullen is in every way, a standout amongst his generation of multi-talented artists. Eddie's lengthy career has yielded an abundance of awards and recognition for his outstanding talents. From his first album, Nocturnal Affair, to his most recent, Kaleidoscope, Eddie gives his audience a taste of contemporary jazz, flavoured with Caribbean rhythms. Since his move to Toronto in 1980 from Grenada, Eddie has worked with Caribbean, Canadian and American artists like Melba Moore, Anslem Douglas, Byron Lee, Maestro, David Rudder, and Liberty Silver. His work has been heard on City TV, YTV, Love & Hip Hop (American Television Series) and Wine TV Australia. Kaleidoscope is the sixth album from Bullen. Recorded at his very own Thunder Dome Studios, Kaleidoscope showcases not only Bullen’s own musical prowess but that of some of his long-term friends including, Larnell Lewis (of Snarky Puppy), Etric Lyons, and Otis Williams. “This album is a reflection of my journey through the emergence of new jazz sounds in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. There was a time when instrumental tracks would be on the Dance, Pop and R&B charts. These sounds conjure up fond memories for me, ones that have inspired my compositions on this album.
