This album is my reward for 20 years of musicianship.  As a songwriter, I have scrapped so many ideas and riffs, but this is a collection of which I feel very proud.  The really cool thing about this album is that 5 of these songs were written over 30 years ago!  My father Andy Robert Chapin (below) was a killer keyboardist and Hammond B3 organ player,

and drove a Cadillac Limosuine service in Los Angeles, CA.  I was only four years old at the time of my father's death on NYE 1985 in the plane crash that killed Ricky Nelson and his Stone Canyon Band.  Fast-Forward 20 years later, my mother found a box of 2" audio master tapes in storage with Andy's original music on them.  This was around the time I was graduating from recording school, and so I used the school's tape machine to digitize these songs into Pro Tools so that I could finish what my father and his buddies started.  I have been sitting on this material for 10 years now, and finally have I found the players and the resources to complete these tracks, and this has been the most incredible experience for me.  What an opportunity for me to reconnect with my father, and how I love these songs.
