简介

Bobby Chitwood Contact Information: Email: texashome@bresnan.net www.bobbychitwood.com If it aint country, and country with a little edge, it aint Bobby Chitwood. Originally from Brownwood, Texas, and raised his entire life on country music, Bobby Chitwood knows what country is all about. Bobby was raised on the likes of Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Sr., Willie Nelson and many other traditional style artists, but Bobby has also admired the styles of many southern rock bands including Skynyrd and other artists such as Travis Tritt that have that southern sound. Combine the two, and that will give you Bobby’s traditional yet edgy sound. Song writing and performing has been in the family for generations. From Bobby’s great-grandfather directing orchestras in Dallas, to his grandfather becoming a respected Christian singer/songwriter who also dabbled in the country scene, and Bobby’s mother singing and performing in Churches across Texas. Bobby has said, “from the first moment I stepped on stage and performed, I knew there would be no other real home for me in the world except one with a microphone and guitar”. Bobby leaves no doubt where his heart is, “my family is always first in my life, and thank the good Lord I have a supportive family, but without music I would not be a man my family could live with, music completes me as a person”. Chitwood also says he has grown as a caring and compassionate person and songwriter, as he can relate the loss of his mother and father, loneliness after their deaths, and the struggles to move on to other peoples’ feelings and hurt in life. His music can make you feel what he feels inside. Bobby has been writing since the age of twelve and has continued to grow as a songwriter, singer, and performer. He has been in the Texas music scene since he was a teenager and continues with it almost a decade later. His talent has earned him the respect of concert promoters and major artists. Chitwood has played shows with Robert Earl Keen, David Alan Coe, Perfect Stranger, Diamond Rio, headlined at Texas Motor Speedway, and was invited to open for Toby Keith. Most recently, Bobby performed alongside The Legends of Country Music from Las Vegas, NV. Bobby Chitwood has toured all over Texas and throughout the Midwest from Texas to Montana. Chitwood continues touring today. Bobby Chitwood enjoyed the release of his first single on national radio in 2004, achieved the number 16 spot on the independent inside country chart and received a lot of airplay on Texas radio. Most recently is the completion of his third album. Recorded with arguably the best musicians in the nation, this album is sure to be hit. The producer, Jeff Moore, also originally from Texas, used his knowledge of Texas music and his knowledge of Bobby’s style, to put together one of the best country albums out there. From the party song “Beer Toast” (which shows Chitwood’s more fun-loving side), to “Johnny Came Home Today” written by Jeff Moore, shows Bobby’s more compassionate side and how he regards our brave men and women in the military. His father was lost to an illness from the Vietnam War. Many songs on this album show Bobby’s regard of the everyday common man just trying to get by. “My Name’s Ronnie” is a heart felt song about a man just trying to make it in the world today, and his failed attempt at it. This song received a great review from Music Row and Robert K. Oermann. This single achieved the number one spot on Inside Country, and made it into New Music Weekly. Blue collar rings true in this album, and Chitwood recognizes that without the workin’ man tone in this CD it would have never worked for him. Many of the songs, which may be considered more mainstream, have the potential to climb national charts. “Women Ain’t So Hard to Understand” is Bobby’s most recent release, and has already turned the heads of Music Row. There is no doubt this is the best album Chitwood has recorded, no doubt it will be a hit, and I have no doubt at all this is just the beginning of Bobby’s career.
