简介

The first single, "Ghosts" b/w "The Fall Out," deals with the idea of being unreasonably afraid of things ("Ghosts") and our addiction to technology ("The Fall Out"). "When you are a kid it is about things in your closet or under your bed, ghosts and monsters," vocalist/songwriter/bassist John Craig comments on the meaning being "Ghosts" and the unreasonable fears the song discusses. "But, as an adult it is about being rejected, losing someone, whatever." At the core of it, "Ghosts" is a relationship song; a tune that pokes fun at the person who can't keep their head together and all they do is worry about the unreasonable worries. "Often this person is me," he continues. "Sonically, I wanted to try a couple things that were a little different for me like the vocoder and sampling the kids' voices, which plays on the whole being afraid of things at different ages. You could say the vocoder is like the cracking voice of an adolescent." In "The Fall Out," John Craig sings "We see each screen, we don't see the fall out" and "can't sign out, just you try," commenting on how plugged in we all are to our computers, phones, Facebook, and all the technology around us. "We are missing what is actually happening in society, because we are so focused on what is virtually happening," Craig comments. "Or, is what is virtually happening so much more important now that it is affecting what is actually happening?"
