Nor am I the captain of my soul; I’m only its Noisiest Passenger” - Aldous Huxley “I had been experimenting with some many styles over the last few years I was not sure I would ever make a full hip hop record again” says K Sos as he snacks on some smoked gouda from Boar’s Head one of the companies he says is pivotal to his happiness.” “You just can’t get this much taste from other brands,” he continues. K Sos is all set to release his new album The Noisiest Passenger, which is the sequel to his 2011’s album Sciamachy. “Lyrically, Sciamachy was a huge break through for me where I feel like I attained a new level of lyrical creativity, but on the Noisiest Passenger I’ve taken those advancement and ironed out all the wrinkles,” he replies. Like Sciamachy, K Sos has left much of the production to outside producers, which he credits below. K Sos produces two tracks; “Big Tops”, an almost four minute rhyme explosion like a modern day Canibus “100 Bars”, and “Bleed U” a daunting ride layered with howling guitars and funky break beat action. N.O.C. Producer and Engineer K.D., appears on the very catchy “Missing Out” while the rest of the features are first time collaborations. Miami rapper Flo Money and Rubs Khalifa aka model Rebecca Dias appear on the tracks first single “The Bee Sting”. Sos enlists Latin Grammy winner Karina Iglesias to sing hooks on two tracks: the trap style “Starcruiser” and the late night escapade “On the River”. The album, released on Sos’s label Licking Toads, boasts artwork above from long time collaborator Nicky Beery. “Beery, is the only one I would ever trust to illustrate my music, I’m not sure what I would do if he wasn’t there to meet me half way. The visual representation of your music is one of the most critical aspects of the experience. If you aren’t working hard to grow that with your music your limiting yourself from opening important doors” Sos says, burning a signature dog leg while previewing some of the tracks. “Most of all I want people to have fun with this record,” he continues, “It’s not a serious record where I’m trying to touch your soul so much. It’s a record to feel some adrenaline. A record to get you excited, so take it for what it is, and if you want something deeper their’s always Poppin’s Brother.” Sos laughs. A fun record for sure.
